Sasha says her first word . . . 'Baba'

All babies like to gurgle & talk baby talk. Sasha is no different. Since yesteray she has been saying Baba. When I showed her a picture of a baba and have her a dolly she became very excited. Now she is saying Baba all the time!! . . . Not sure if she knows what it means :-)

Sasha has been with me for 1 months today . . .

Wow!! It has already been a month. Sasha has settled in so well it is hard to believe it has only been a month. She is such a easy and content baby. She spends most of her time either sleeping or awake smiling and gurgling. She is nearly sitting up on her own and enjoys playing with her rattles, toft toys and baby books. I also loves going in the swing which hangs from the door frame. I am now a third way through my maternity leave so still have 2 months to really bond with her before I return to school and she goes to a fabulous daycare in Kirstenhof.

First solids today . . .

Sasha has been showing signs that she is ready for solids. She watches me eat and has been trying to nibble on her toys and books. Today I gave her porridge for the first time. She pulled a funny face . . . if looks could kill!! . . . but she ate it. I will try some more again at every meal time . . . breakfast, lunch & supper.

One month since `the call` & Sasha is 5 months old today

Sasha is 5 months old today. I can`t believe it has been 1 month since I received `the call`. Sasha has been home for just over 3 weeks and has settled in really well. She is full of smiles and loves to gurgle and `chat` to her animal friends (toys). She has started grabbing rattles and toys and loves listening to stories.
